So it’s been a month.

I’ve decided I’m not so good at this. I’m a better blog reader than blog writer, but I’ll stay at it. I’ll make this a bit of a summary post of the last month.

When you last heard from me, I was on the road with Amy Grant. That went very well and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Well, the credit card machine could have been a little more cooperative, but that didn’t ruin the trip for me. I met some great people, heard great musicians, and got to help a good friend.

The coin business is taking off. Some of you may not know, but I’ve partnered with 2 other guys in an online business. We started out several months ago not knowing too much about this “hobby”, but we’ve done our homework and the business is growing rapidly. It’s proving to be a good source for extra income.

I’m in the process of revamping my cymbal collection. My latest approach is a “less it more” idea instead of having something in every size and style. The cymbals I’ve had over the last 10 years or so have been great instruments, but my ear has been gradually changing since my move up here. Working with Garett, listening to new records and styles, talking with other guys… all of these things have helped to change my taste. I’ve gotten an Istanbul Agop 17″ Traditional Medium Thin Crash and I have a 22″ Traditional Dark Ride on the way. They’re much more versatile and tasty than the others I had. I’m looking forward to breaking them in on a few tracks…

This week is clean-up week. My brother and his family are coming to visit this weekend so we need to pick up and clean… and baby proof some rooms. We’re looking forward to having them up for a few days and showing them around the town a bit.

That’s all for now. I really am going to try to be a more frequent writer, but eBay is quite the time consumer.

Talk with you soon.
