The new neighbors

Recently, we’ve had a few sets of neighbors move in. We haven’t had a chance to meet any of them, but we have heard some of them talk. One family in particular speaks a different language than we do. I hear them outside every morning around 7:45 and 8:30. And what’s strange about this is that my neighbors next door said these folks have lived here before. We’ll, now they’re back and this morning I got a good look at ‘em. Quite a site:

Golden Eagle

How stinkin’ awesome is that? It’s a Golden Eagle and its nest. Over the last week or so, I’ve been able to hear the youngsters crying out when their parent returns with some breakfast. Seeing the adults land up there in the cell tower is pretty amazing to watch.I bet they’ll all develop schizophrenia, epilepsy, or eagle-migraines from the strobe light that is 10 feet from them.

  1. That is cool! However, I’d watch it. Breakfast time at the nest may end up fixing the mud on the back door problem at home.

  2. I thought you might be talking about Brodee for second. Hope he comes back!!!

  3. That’s awesome. Maybe you’ll get to see the young eagles learn to fly.

Also, I’m digging the new site design. That header image is rad (btw I’m bringing back the word “rad”…this is my third attempt to do so).

  4. we should climb the tower, eat some steak, and regurgitate it to try and feed the little birdies. could be fun?
