At long last.
Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I guess I’ll catch you up on what’s taken place over the last two weeks.
I got back from Florida last Wednesday night and proceeded to gear myself up for the weekend events. Friday night we had family come up and help me build a deck in our backyard. I’m quite proud of the way it turned out, but it wouldn’t have been possible without them. Thanks! Here’s a look at eight hours of sweat and power tools:

Please excuse the dirty door, but that’s what a Springer Spaniel does.
Sunday afternoon/evening, we had the Bush’s over for eats and treats to break in the deck… even if it meant hauling the kitchen table out so we could have furniture out there. We will have deck furniture soon enough.
Yesterday I met with Garett for a lesson and dropped by the pipe shop to hang with Bush. I dig it there. After dinner, we had storms roll through and kill our power. We lit candles so we could clean the kitchen then decided to go to bed early. I love sleeping during thunderstorms, I just prefer the overhead fan to work at the same time. Thankfully, the outage only lasted about twenty minutes.

the eats & treats were awesome! thanks for lettings us break in the new deck with you. also, thanks for hanging at the shop yesterday…it makes the day go by alot faster when you have cool people to talk to. hannah try her candy you bought for her? see you thursday!
i understand eats… but what were the “treats” you guys refer to? is that code for something?
Maybe they had springer spaniel treats. Milk bone anyone?
The new deck is looking *falsetto voice* sweet!
Actually I never say “sweet” so I’m not sure why I did just now.
