Beach time
In just a little while, we’re heading to Guntersville, AL for an evening rehearsal and hang-time with Matt and Karen. We’ll leave Alabama bright and early in the morning and make our way to the arm pit (I mean panhandle) of Florida. Despite the reputation of PC these days, I still love the beach and I love being with good friends.
Unfortunately, Matt and I will be batchin’ it since our brides have work and school to deal with next week. Maybe it will be good guy time for us… we can talk about manly man things and our future in a band together.
Musically, I’m feeling really inspired these days. I finally got that track finished, and I’m pretty proud of it. It’s nothing remarkable, but it’s my first attempt at recording here at home. Garett is working me hard and it’s paying off. My hands are getting better and better. My groove is improving, and my technique is gradually on the upswing.
I’m definitely ready for the next 5 days of music. It will be good to play with others again… it’s been too long!
It’s Sunday at 5:42 and Lyndsay and I are back from the family reunion. I guess you guys are ramping up to do some music tonight. As I said in my email, I wish I could be there.
